 What is an Oral Dam / Dental Dam

This is our number 1 most frequently asked question.

A Dental Dam, also referred to as an Oral Dam, is a thin rectangular piece of latex that is placed over the vagina or anus during oral genital sex.

It provides a barrier protection against Sexually Transmitted Infections which can be transmitted during oral genital contact.

Aside from providing protection against Sexually Transmitted Infections, Dental Dams may also help with the 'eeuwe' factor for beginners ready to explore the pleasures of oral-vaginal or oral-anal sex ;-)

  • Dental Dams come in a variety of flavoured coatings such as vanilla or grape.
  • A small amount of latex friendly lubricant may be placed on the genital side of the Dental Dam to increase sensitivity during usage.
  • Dental Dams are 'single use' products which should be discarded after using.
  • A new Dental Dam should be used for each new encounter.
  • Care must be taken to ensure the Dental Dam is not reversed during use.
  • Recipient may assist by holding the Dental Dam in place during usage.

 When will my order be shipped?

At SafeSexCanada.com, packages are shipped daily, Monday through Friday with the exception of public holidays.

In most cases, orders received before 12 noon EST will be shipped the same day, but generally, orders for products that are in stock will be processed and shipped the next business day.

Orders for ‘out of stock products’ are usually shipped within 10 business days. Partial orders will be shipped at our discretion if a requested item is out-of-stock. When the back-ordered item is received, it will be shipped to you at no additional charge.

A confirmation notice containing a Canada Post Tracking Number will be sent to the 'Ship To:' email address listed on the Order, after your package has been shipped.

 How long till I receive my package?

Delivery of your package depends on your exact location and your selected 'Shipping Method'.

Generally, Canada Post can deliver a package to the majority of Canadian destinations within 1 to 7 business days. Delivery to remote locations such as Northwest Territories or Nunavut, may take up to 14 business days.

Packages shipped to U.S. destinations are usually delivered in 4 to 10 business days depending on your exact location.

Next business day shipping is common for major commercial centres such the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ottawa, Montreal, etc. Click here to see a list of approximate delivery days to your location.

The expected delivery date of your package can be viewed on the Canada Post website using the Tracking Number that is email to you following shipment of your Order.

 What 'Return Address' will be on my package?

Canada Post mail standards require that a Return Address be present on all packages. For added privacy, we use our corporate name 'Three Tigers Inc.' as the Return Address on all packages.

 What name will be displayed on my Credit Card Statement?

For additional privacy and convenience, our corporate name 'Three Tigers Incorporated' will be printed on your Credit Card statements.

No charges are billed to your credit card until after your order has been shipped.

 How can I cancel my order?

Orders may be cancelled as long as they have not yet been shipped. To cancel an order, you may:

  1. Request cancellation by replying to the Order Confirmation email sent to you at the time your order was placed.
  2. Send an email message containing your Order Number to sales@safesexcanada.com requesting cancellation of your order.
  3. Contact us by phone at our Toll Free number (1-888-838-3181) to request cancellation.
Orders that have already been shipped cannot be cancelled as we are unable to retrieve packages from Canada Post.

No charges are billed to your credit card until after your order has been shipped.

 I live nearby, can I arrange to pick up my order?

We are an 'on-line only' business and as such we do not have facilities to allow customers to pick up their orders on site. Zoning and insurance regulations do not allow customers on the premises.

Note that delivery is 'Next Business Day' for the majority of nearby destinations.

 Do I have to be home to receive / sign for my package?

Orders are shipped via Canada Post (USPS to U.S. destinations) and will arrive in your mail box along with your regular mail. As such, you do not need to be home to receive or sign for your package.

If the package is too large to fit in your mail box, a 'Delivery Notification' card will be placed in your mail box with instructions to pick up your package at the nearest Canada Post outlet.
